Privacy
This explains what Plunge Studios does with information on BuzzQuote.
Two kinds of information
Your account. When you sign up we keep your business name, email address, page name and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We use these to run your account and to email you about it. We are responsible for this information.
Your customers' requests. When a customer uses your quote page, the name, phone, email, town, postcode, notes and any photos they send are saved in your account and emailed to you. You decide why and how you use them, so you are responsible for them under data protection law. We only store and deliver them for you.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information or your customers' information. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on the BuzzQuote site or on quote pages. The only cookies are the ones needed to keep you logged in and to protect forms.
Who else handles it
Our hosting company stores the data, and email is delivered through our hosting provider's mail service. Payment details, once online payments start, are handled by the payment provider and not stored by us.
How long we keep it
While your account is running. If it stays unpaid for 30 days it is deleted with everything in it. Demo copies are cleared within a few hours. Photos are re-saved without hidden location data.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, and you can download a backup of your account data yourself at any time. A customer of yours who wants their request removed should contact you, or contact us and we'll pass it on. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
